Sawadee Thai Restaurant
The Sawadee Thai Restaurant serves some of the most reasonably-priced Thai food in Salt Lake City with a convenient northeast location right on E. South Temple Street. Choose from red, yellow, green, Panang, and Massaman curry for a quick kick at lunch time, or sit down for Sawadee honey ginger duck, served with spinach and mashed sweet potato and special Thai honey sauce for dinner.
Asian Potato
If you are south of downtown at lunchtime and want some Thai food in Salt Lake City, check out Asian Potato. The restaurant offers seven quick lunch bowls, including beef or chicken with mixed vegetables, Szechwan beef or chicken, beef or pork with garlic sauce, and Mongolian beef. Eight different quick meat and vegetarian fried rice bowls are also available. In addition to the fast take-out, enjoy a sit-down combination lunch served with egg drop soup and Jasmine rice.

If the Thai craving hits you while downtown near the Salt Lake City public library, check out Thai Lotus on East 500 Street. Thai Siam
Located just a few blocks south of Spring Mobile Ball Park downtown, Thai Siam offers lunch and dinner for either take-out or a sit-down meal. At lunch, start out with the curry puffs or the coconut soup, and then move along to the wok-fried ginger curry paste stir-fry... but leave room for the scrumptious deep-fried bananas with ice cream. Go for the chicken satay with peanut sauce, moo pha-lo, pla nung khing, and custard with sticky rice washed down with Thai beer for dinner.
Ekmai Thai
Ekmai Thai serves a simplified menu, Monday through Thursday, downtown near Pioneer Park. The Salt Lake Tribune declared Ekmai Thai "As close to Thai street food as is served in Utah's capital city", and is one the most popular Thai restaurants in Salt Lake City. Daily standby menu items include Massamun curry beef, pad pa ram, and yellow curry chicken.
J. Wong's Asian Bistro
J. Wong's Asian Bistro is the piece de resistance of Thai food in Salt Lake City. The downtown restaurant owners use both Thai and Chinese family recipes in a fine setting. Menu items include Peking duck, honey glazed walnut shrimp, Thai spicy cashew nut, mu shu pork, pad Thai noodle, and panang grilled salmon.
